Soccer Win!!!

Last game of the season for Antonio and his fellow mean green fighting machines! They beat the BIGGEST ( I mean steroid tak'in BIG!) team in the league! The grey giants tried time and time again to plow over the green monsters....body slamming, elbowing, grabbing, charging, tripping and shoving and never having the whistle blown at them! UGH! The green monster applied all their frustrations to the turf and played a tight team game! Final score....2 to 1! GO GREEN! Congratulations to you all!!!

Still going....

Did 5 miles last week and got into a pair of jeans this past Saturday! Hoorah!!! Ran yesterday in the rain with my bright yellow slicker...no one else was crazy enough to be out, so no one saw me...thank goodness! Busy week for us all here at the compound: tests and projects for Nadia and Antonio; as for John and Di, there's editing up the wazoo, 2 rehearsals to shoot, 1 un-shower to party at, 2 weddings to shoot, and a celebration after the last shoot! Yee-haw! Hope you all are doing great! Thanks to the Murray gals and Rod and Ali for all their comments! Would love to hear from the rest of you!!! Chao for now.....

Love it or leave it...hum....

Over the last few days, I have heard a few people talk about the stress in their jobs, how unhappy they are in their jobs, and even 1 person who took 2 sick days after having it out with the boss...I remember those days! Now, I don't feel those things....thank GOD! I have a lot of fun, laugh alot and learn something new every day! I have an incredible work environment and an even more incredible work partner!!! However, sometimes I only internalize my gratitude for my job and forget to work from the heart. I was reading in my meditation book and what do you know...this exact subject came up! So, I wanted to share a few quotes!

"Today you can begin to transform your workplace and your working style by considering how much you have to be grateful for." Especially in today's economy...at least we have jobs. "Invoke Spirit as your personal career counselor." Meditate about it, pray about it... The mystical poet, Kahil Gibran wrote: "When you work, you fulfill a part of earth's fondest dream assigned to you when that dream is born."
"Fulfilling your part of earth's fondest dream occurs when you work from the heart."

Peace, Di

To my family....

Started off on the right foot and then all of sudden the blahs, frustration and stress overtook me! I was dreading the afternoon rush and was feeling quite overwhelmed! I picked Nadia up from school and she wanted to go shopping for sneakers! UGH!!!! (Definitely, not what I had it mind!) We have been having a hard time finding something she liked, that fit! She's a size 10. We had to go now: she blew a hole in one! So, I complained about traffic and life the whole way to the mall...and then I looked at her and she smiled and said, "I know, Mom." I was still reluctant to let it all go and enjoy myself when I realized I hadn't been shopping with my teenager in quite some time! We even sat down and had a snack and a coke together! I finally let it all go and really enjoyed the girl time with my daughter! She even talked me into trying on a sexy, purple cocktail dress for J & L's wedding!! (I have to think about it...it doesn't have any buttons...missing!) Anyway, thanks for getting me out of the funk, Nadia! You're the best! Then I got home and felt under pressure because it was late and I had dinner and work to complete. Nice, surprise....Antonio had finished some laundry for me! I had been wanting to go to my "special place" for almost a week, but things have been crazy...so I haven't made time. John was knee deep with work in the studio, but I asked him to go anyway. He jumped up, hugged me and we were on our way!

I am so blessed! A teenager who is a wonderful companion, a good listener and one heck of a super young woman! A son who thinks of doing things to help out! A partner who goes out of his way to support me and help me! I love you all very much! Thank you for today!! Thank you for YOU!! XO
